PACE Council Grants iMDDS, LLC Two-Year Approval

San Antonio, Texas - January 7, 2014 - iMagDent Management & Development Services, LLC (iMDDS) has received a two-year approval from the Academy of General Dentistry Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE).  Since 2006, iMDDS, LLC has offered over fifty CE courses for dentists in over six Texas communities focusing on Cone Beam CT, radiology, software hands-on training and guided surgical courses.  Most of these courses did not offer CE credits, but were well attended due to the desire from the local dentists to learn and their trust in iMDDS, LLC to provide a truly educational experience.  Now, the courses will offer CE credits to go along with the great speakers and topics.  Starting in Q2 2014, be on the lookout for new courses and speakers offered by iMDDS, LLC to address the growing and challenging needs of Cone Beam CT, guided surgery and radiology within the scope of dentistry.

Diagnosing in 3D: Using CBCT as the Cornerstone for Accurate Diagnosis & Treatment

• Explore the 3D anatomy of the maxillofacial structures emphasizing the cervical region, paranasal sinuses and base of skull.
• Identify normal vs. abnormal anatomy by reviewing cases from UTHSCSA Dental School database
• Familiarize yourself with the fundamental principles to systematically review a CBCT volume and categorize by abnormality or pathosis to properly manage the patient
• Understand the risks posed by CBCT technology/ ionizing radiation and how to minimize exposure
• When to prescribe for a CBCT and our ethical and legal responsibilities that come with CBCT imaging
• Perform hands-on computer workshop on image processing, image manipulation and learn "tips and tricks" for efficient diagnosis
